Not Me Monday

Welcome to Not Me! Monday! This blog carnival was created by MckMama. You can head over to her blog to read what she and everyone else have not been doing this week.
I did not let Elijah go to Nelson's Friday night or snowboarding at Birch on Saturday or snowboarding at Moose on Sunday because he's grounded. I would never give in so easily and let him run just to have a moments peace from his incessant nagging/whining/pleading. Nope, Not Me! I stuck to my principles.
My husband did not cook dinner every single night this week because I hate to cook. No way! I would never have him work all day and then cook, too. Not Me!
He didn't cook me breakfast, either.
I did not take the babies to the sitter's just so Dad and I could have a few hours alone. I mean, we want to spend every waking second with our precious little people. Or not.
I so totally did not buy more yarn to make Emily a blanket when I have a basket-full at home. Not Me! I would never start another project with so many already half-finished.
What didn't you do this week?

Not Me! Monday

Welcome to Not Me! Monday! This blog carnival was created by MckMama. You can head over to her blog to read what she and everyone else have not been doing this week.

My hubby and I did not completely stop working on the house so we could lay around on our new couches together. Not us! We so want to finish up the house that we would never take day after day after day off!

I did not stay up way too late to edit photos for basketball. Not me! I also did not get up to work on the photos for most of the day either. In fact, I am not going to spend a ton of time putting together a wrestling CD because I have so many things to do around my home. Not me! Not only am I not going to make this CD, I am not going to be frantic because I need to finish it in a couple days. Not me! I'm way ahead of the game on this one.

I did not let Emily put red streaks in her hair. Nope, not me!
I did not let Olivia get blue streaks in her hair. I mean, she's only four! Nope, not me!
I did not let Elijah go snowboarding on Sunday because he is grounded. Nope, not me!
Lucas did not guzzle a bunch of red fruit punch and then throw-up all over the floor this morning, and I didn't miss a beat. Nope, not me! I surely would have been grossed out.
I did not kick Nick's butt at bowling. Oh, wait...ya I did! :)
Enjoy your Monday! :)

Not Me! Monday

MckMama brings us Not Me! Monday where we admit our mistakes and shortcomings as a parent in a funny way. Click above to join in the fun!

I did not wear pajamas five days this week. Really, I get dressed...every day. And I most certainly did not go grocery shopping with Mr. White in my pajamas. And we didn't walk around Fred Meyer looking for other people in pajamas because Mr. White was sure I wouldn't be the only one. And I wasn't the only one.

I did not take a 3-hour nap with the Wee People when I should have been at the wrestling meet because I am just so run down and sick and couldn't take it anymore. Nope, Not Me! I always feel great!

I did not put Wee Two in mismatched shoes because we cannot find a matching pair in this chaos. Not that it would matter if I did because we don't really go anywhere. Something about two small children and stores just don't go together.

I did not contemplate not sending Christmas cards this year. That would be completely crazy since I have several hundred school/sports photos to send out. What a waste of money that would be to leave them sitting on a shelf.

I have not let Cody wear the same four pairs of pants over and over for two straight weeks without washing them to teach him a lesson. Wouldn't that be just gross?! But if I did do this he would hopefully learn the lesson that he needs to do his laundry on his laundry day...not wait for me to do it. I mean, if they would have just shoveled like they were supposed to rather than blowing me off.... I will not give in because the lesson would be lost. Right?

I most definitely did not stay up until 1:45am blogging last night because I hadn't blogged since Thursday. That would be very stupid considering I have so much to do and have been sick.

Blogging has not become an addiction for me...really, I have so much I could be doing that I do spend too much time blogging. I'm responsibly working on the house!

What didn't you do this week?

Not Me Monday

Thanks to MckMama for hosting a meme that lets me unload all those things I may or may not have done this past week! :)

I am sure that I did not let Emily paint in a good sweatshirt. Not me!
Or let Olivia paint in a good dress...
Or let Lucas ruin a pair of pants painting! (What is up with that face ALWAYS being dirty!). Nope, Not me!

I didn't spend several hours at a meet taking 200 photos of these wrestlers when my son didn't even get to wrestle. Why would I worry about the other parents? Not me!
I also didn't drive 13 miles to a hockey rink to take 200 photos of 4-7 year olds (that I don't even know). I'm not going to edit those photos and I am not going to put them on this website for free because I can't say no. Nope, not me! If I was going to do this in the middle of being so terribly busy with my own stuff I would at least make some money at it. Wouldn't I?
I did not run out of diapers last night and send my husband to the van to see if he could find one on the floor. What kind of mother would run out of diapers? And spend quite some time thinking of anything possible to keep from going to the store? Mr. White may or may not have found two diapers delaying the trip to the store until this morning.
I did not tell my three teenage boys that since they couldn't shovel the sidewalk for me I wouldn't be able to do their laundry for them. Not me! I would never separate their dirty clothes from the rest of the families, put them in their own baskets and put the baskets in their rooms. Could you imagine? I also didn't assign them each their own laundry day to wash, dry and fold their own stuff.
And while I was at it I didn't assign them each a dishes day just for fun. Not me! I have very spoiled boys who rarely do anything...if I were to pile on the chores it would kill them!

I'm pretty sure I would never do any of the things mentioned above, but if I did I'm also pretty sure I have a very good excuse!
So what didn't you do this week?? :)

Not Me Monday

Click on the photo for more Not Me posts...

I did not cry out of frustration several times this week. In fact, I never cry. I'm way to sensible for girlie emotions.

I did not become so upset with my teenage boys that I wanted to drop them on the side of the road and drive away. No way! I love the fact that they fight. All.The.Time! There's no way the sound of their bickering voices would about drive me over the edge of sanity. I'm as cool and calm as they come.

Speaking of calmness, I did not get in a fight with the janitor at a certain school over my son quietly playing with his toy cars in the hallway during a soccer game. I most definitely did not lose my temper with this janitor as my child screamed hysterically when I took his toys away. I did not spew forth angry words at said janitor (who obviously knows nothing of toddlers, toy cars and speeding soccer balls), and stomp out of the school. I would never do these things. I would handle the confrontation in a very quiet, respectable adult manner.

I did not go to bed at 10:00pm a few nights ago because I NEVER go to bed early. I have a 1am or later bedtime. To go to sleep at that early hour would be, well, sensible. I'm not that sensible.

I most definitely did not agree to sew Emily a Halloween costume in two days time. I wouldn't add that unneeded stress to my life. And I am not blogging instead of sewing...oh, maybe I am, but that's only because I thrive on procrastination and the thrill of panic and completion at the last minute. It's a sickness.

And finally, I did not wish I was pregnant. I did not wish we were having more children, and my husband and I did not talk about it like it was an option. We have eight children, six who live with us, and we really don't need any more children. OR do we?

I'd love to hear what you didn't do this week....

Not Me Monday

MckMama brings us the brutally honest "Not Me Monday" where we confess all the things we might have done, but surely didn't do this past week.
Well, I can tell you I most definitely did not wear pajama pants 5 out of 7 days this past week. I also did not go to multiple stores in those pajama pants shopping with the kids. That would have been way too embarrassing for my teenagers to deal with!
I did not reschedule my son's eye appointment from Friday to Tuesday because I didn't want to leave the house. That would be way to lazy of me. Nope, I rescheduled it with the excuse that he couldn't miss something important they may not have being doing at school that day!
We did not eat way too many meals in restaurants this week because all the dishes were dirty. Who would waste money like that? Not me! Of course we would just wash the dishes, wouldn't we?
I did not bribe my son with new video games if he would just hang out at the mall with his buddy for an hour so my husband and I could have some chips and salsa in peace. Not me! I would have taken my son with me. I would never chose alone time with my husband over time with the kids. Not me!
I did not forget I was potty training Wee Two and he didn't have a diaper on, and he definitely did not poop on my bedroom floor Saturday. Not in my house! That would be way too gross!
And finally, I did not let Wee Two eat ice cream for breakfast this morning. The nutritional police would definitely get their panties in a bunch over that one! Glad it's Not Me! they are after.

Not Me Monday

I didn't stress out at my son's football championship game so badly I'm pretty sure I missed all of his touchdowns. I couldn't have done that. He so wants to see himself scoring and I didn't blow it. No way! Not me!
I did not totally freak out on my family because we woke up to snow and the yard is full of toys and tools and lots more. Nope. Not me. I would never leave all that until it was too late.
I did not slave drive my family all day to pick up the things we left out to be buried in snow. That would be mean. I would never be mean. Nope. Not me.
I did not help my son do his science project that he didn't start until the day before it was due. I said he'd have to do it alone for procrastinating, and I did not give in and help him. Nope. Not me.
I am not still up at 1:30am writing this post because I really haven't blogged all week and I miss it more than anything. How pathetic is that! Who wouldn't blog all week? Not me!
Now you know what I didn't do...check out MckMama to see what she didn't do, catch the rules, join in and tell us what you didn't do!

Not Me Monday is hosted by MckMama. She's pretty funny...you should check it out. As for me....
someone I know ate Doritos for breakfast, lunch and dinner at one point during this past week. That would not be me, I'm way to health conscious for that!
I also am not the one who told a lady "I am on the other line long distance" to just avoid a conversation. I would never be so rude!
I would never leave dishes in the sink for days on end because I'm lazy. But someone is.
I did not go two days without blogging because that would be insane. I would miss my blog-friends was too much to do something like that.
I did not do a lot of things this week that I am not going to tell you about! :) But someone did!
