Need More Hours

Today the right side of the greenhouse started out with a bed full of stuff.

040

I emptied it, tilled the dirt and soaked it for planting.

041

There are 26 flats on this shelf.

042

Emily had volleyball today. I ended up running the scoreboard again so not much for photos. Olivia went on a field trip with her Girl Scouts to a greenhouse. Kind of ironic since we garden so much. Lucas isn’t running a fever or coughing, but he still isn’t eating and has no energy. I hope he gets an appetite soon.

060

After volleyball we met Elijah to get him baseball cleats and then on to home. He’s so busy with 6:00am football camp, 3:00-4:30 baseball weight lifting and 7:00-9:00 baseball practice. He’s exhausted which is a good way for him to be.  We (Homer, Emily and myself) planted the right side of the greenhouse. There are tomatoes on the far end, cucumbers down the other 2/3, jalapenos by the tomatoes and some garlic on the end by the blue barrel. Still need to plant the middle front. The new shelving holds 26 flats.
069

The left side has tomatoes all the way down. The pots are daylilies that will go around the upper pond.

070

The center bed has cantaloupe on the end (still needs a trellis) and some bell peppers. The rest of the bed still needs something?

071

I pumped more water out of the pool and that’s about all that was accomplished. Guess I was tired from yesterday. I really need to pick up the pace on my chores…and go to bed earlier. I stay up too late, then have to get Elijah up for football at 5:00am. I try to get a little more sleep until 7:30 when I get the rest up and off to school. I’m quite sure if I exercised and ate healthier I would have more energy….ug! Where’s that pause button again so I can get it all together?? And I haven’t read any blogs lately…really miss you guys. :(

Gayle, you cram so much into every day of your life,do you have to drive the family far to sport, shops, or anywhere else? Many years ago a young High School girl, probably about 16 years, won a speech competition in NZ, the title " Stop the World, I want to get off".Fitting words for so many of us these busy times.Enjoy, and try to have some " me time" for yourself if that is possible???And spring is nearly here, although I see snow forecast for some parts of middle USA. Those plants will be flowering in the outside and we will see all your hard work in their colours.Cheers from Jean.

You have the most amazing greenhouse. It is huge! I'd love something like that.

Sometimes I wish life had a pause button, too.
Your greenhouse is impressive. I don't know how you accomplish so much.

Man you are an awesome mama! I am stunned by the scope of your greenhouse. I once tried to grow some basil in a pot. It died.
