Getting Older

I must be getting older. I remember a day not so long ago when I was up until 2:00am every night and thought nothing of it. It’s 11:00pm and I’m really wishing I had gone to bed with the kids at 9:00pm so this is going to be quick.

After I got four kids off to school I emptied the ash, washed the glass, hauled in a little wood and got a fire going. Nick brought in more wood later in the day.

My morning at home was short. I had to get Elijah from school for a chiropractor’s appointment. He drove there and back to class. Eeek!!. Then wasted half an hour waiting for Lucas to get out of school. We went to the store because I forgot to get seed for Trixie yesterday. Isn’t he so cute?

Very laid back night. The girls did some dressing up and happily posed for me. Olivia has gotten so used to the patch she no longer argues to put it on and completely forgot she was wearing it for the photo. I sure hope her eye improves and this phase is over soon. Ironically, the patch goes with Emily’s pirate costume.

About the only accomplishment for the day was transplanting these cute little geraniums and cleaning up a little bit of the plant room which you can see here.

There are no words. She needs a bath and a hair cut. I’m afraid to do it and mess her up and she has to get her second set of shots before she can go to a groomer. I really think she is miserable so we are just going to go for it. Wish Em and I luck. (Or maybe you should wish Sophie luck!).

Soccer in the morning…time for sleep. Night all!

I used to have a Yorkie whose hair I would cut myself because it just got too expensive to take him to the groomer all the time. It was hit or miss - sometimes I did a good job and other times....not so much. But it always grows back. You can do it!

There's probably a learning curve in the dog grooming business... and you know you can do dreads, so there's always that option!

I love the little geraniums; so cute! Thanks for reminding me that I need to figure out what we're putting in the garden this year... For some reason-- probably because I'm pregnant-- cantaloupe sounds like an excellent idea. :-)
