Three Steps Behind

Having so many appointments during the holiday rush is making it very hard for me to get much accomplished. Elijah had an appointment first thing in the morning. There’s the moon at 10:00am.

Cody came by to pick up the snow machine to go caribou hunting. We had a nice visit before he took off. I worked on a few things around the house, but all too soon it was time to pick up Lucas and take Elijah to a second appointment. Here’s Lukey entertaining himself with my phone.

Next we went to Sam’s. Lucas is watching a movie, Elijah went to the car and I’m trying to get signed up with the stoooopid satellite people again so they can either finish the job or get their dish off my property. I have to call again today…such a waste of time.

Olivia and I finished the spices for the bean soup. Today I need to sew bags among a million other things. Instead I have a headache…ran out of coffee. Who does that?

When talking to ones daughter one should look up to see if they are listening. :)

Dinner was moose steak. Emily and Lucas don’t eat meat, but Olivia ate it. Of course, I didn’t tell her it was moose until after she was done. I wonder if she’ll refuse to eat it next time? Somehow she finds it weird eating something we see standing in the yard, but not weird to eat something she only sees on TV.

Gave the Littles a bath and Cody stopped by while we were upstairs. Luckily, we got done in time to visit before he left. No luck getting a caribou, but he saw lots of tracks. I think he’s going again Saturday. Hope he gets one…caribou is the best!

Better get hoppin’. I really want some coffee, but I’d have to warm the truck up for twenty minutes and then it’s a 24 mile round trip to Fred Meyer. Seems like a waste of time, but I’m not sure I can hold out……

Reindeer hunting the week before Christmas? That must not be too popular with the kiddies.

Its eerie to see it that dark at 10 in the morning - very cool. I would try the moose steak - it looks good.

I have the same round trip here, to get anything! Funny in completely different regions-we both live the same distance from the store!

Your kids are adorable- and make me smile when I see them.

I am looking forward to caribou photos etc...please ask if he will photo for us southerners!
