A Full Day

Rusty kept an eye on me while I wrapped Christmas presents. Do you like to wrap? Not really my favorite thing to do, but at least I am not leaving it all until Christmas Eve at 2am like I usually do.

003

First batch of cookies using the cookie press. My old one broke and I do not like the new one at all.

004

My geraniums are struggling to stay alive without natural light, but I love that I still have a few flowers.

When Emily got home she jumped right in and helped bake most of the night.

007

Rusty was right under our feet tripping us up waiting for anything to be dropped.

009

A good start.

010

I also took time to help the kids write cards and give school photos to some of their favorite buddies.

011

Rusty was very helpful with everything today.

012

A pause in baking to fry some pork chops.

013

I so thank my sister-in-law for teaching me to love gravy. Not healthy in the least, but oh so good.

014

Finished up 13 plates for teachers at school. Am now realizing I need one more. Elijah has nine staff members at his program…. 3 teachers, 2 counselors, 3 aides and the Head Chief. Emily has 3 teachers and Lucas has two. Olivia’s teacher will be gone tomorrow so I’ll get her something when we return from break.

015

016

I wanted to include the soup we put together, but never got the bags finished. It’s late and I just can’t sew. I guess I’ll have to gift those to someone else. :)

I wish I wasn’t such a procrastinator. I’ve been one my whole life. I can remember a class in college when I had to put together 200 lesson plans in a variety of subjects. We had an entire quarter. I did it in two weeks and got a 4.0. That was not a good motivator to get me to plan ahead when I was successful putting it off. It’s led to a lifetime of chaos at the last minute. I always manage to get it done, but not without stress. Maybe some day I’ll learn to not make myself frantic.

You outdid yourself with those cookies. I'm sure they will be appreciated. Thanks for the Christmas card and all your visits...hope you will take the time to enjoy the season. Did you ask Santa inside stairs?

How can you not love a post that has so many pictures of good looking food in it? Pork chops - yum. Cookies - yum. What are the balls that look like they're dipped in chocolate? - yum!! Rusty looks like my dog Petey - he always sits by my feet waiting for me to toss him a morsel of food. Emily is such a good helper!
