Another mish-mash bed. I really wish some thought would have gone into things. The closer end has dwarf asters and the far end is “red, white and blue” wave petunias. (I need a drive-by weed whacking by a crazy neighbor because that looks bad!).
The rains have beat most of the flowers off. It looked much fuller a week ago.
Nasturtiums are a feel good flower. I need to remember to plant more of those next summer.
This lilac has reached about six feet now and had it’s first flowers this summer at 4 years old.
Another wild bed! Pansies and marigolds.

See how saturated the petals are. The flowers weren’t exactly in their best form with all the rain, but I’ve put off taking photos for so long if I wait much longer they’ll be frozen!
Looks goofy with both tidal and wave petunias in one bed.
The viola, none of which I planted, took over this bed and most of the others. My niece and I pulled the chickweed. Prior to that you couldn’t even see there were any flowers! Next year all surprises will be treated like weeds!

You have some fabulous flower shots in there...and your yard looks gorgeous.
LOVED the orange and purple flowers the most. You have such a beautiful variety of flowers. I can certainly see how much hard work goes into all you do.
