Still Rollin' Along

No photos today. What was I thinking? I wasn't.

I am filling in as Lucas' soccer coach this week. We had practice last night at the park and then a game tonight. I can tell you, without a doubt, that Lucas' plays (listens) much better to his regular coach. In fact, he let me know he wants him to come back.  Love the honesty!! The game.... well, from last night to tonight every one of those five year olds forgot their own names. It was a level of frustration I don't want to repeat anytime soon. Oh, and I made it to the game with minutes to spare. The truck dumped it's oil.  What now???

Took care of Elijah's community service/work requirements 'cause that's what I do. It's all part of parenting and that's what I do, too.  He even played some basketball tonight. He's doing great (if you're wondering).

Having our share of drama, but don't we always? Very sad, but whatever. Been dealing with it so many years now it is almost laughable. Almost. And predictable. Funny, I know the shit is coming before they even think to do it. Shame on adults who want to hurt my kids just to get to me. Really? It will all come around one day.

Selling the girls' eggs as fast as they lay them. In fact, I don't think we are even getting to eat fresh eggs. Hmmmm. I may have to learn to say "I'm out" once in awhile.

Packed my camera to Nick's game and got so involved in the game I forgot I had it. I'm finding that the high school team that I didn't want to coach and definitely didn't want to coach after the first game is turning out to be the best four hours of my week. They are an absolutely riot. I usually end up with 5-7 other kids hanging out on my sideline and without their parents around they have some hella funny conversations. (I'm a cool mom so they are pretty relaxed around me).

Let's see if I can remember my camera tomorrow. Do you suppose the guy I am paying a left arm to for all this custody b.s. wants to pose for a photo? I'll ask. :)

I was the pinch hit soccer coach for my daugher's 5 year old team once. No doubt I was the world's worst coach. Fortunately, my daughter thought I knew what I was doing!
