Thursday Thirteen: Seed to Flower

Do you have 13 things to share?

Are you thinking about your summer gardens? I am! Here's thirteen of the flowers I'll be starting from seed over the next few weeks. What are you growing?

1. Pansy
2. Geranium
3. Dianthus
4. Schiznthus
5. Viola
6. Marigolds
7. Mimulus
8. Dahlia
9. Zinnia
10. Painted Daisy
11. Snapdragons
12. Asters
13. Stocks

Is that all I'll be growing? No, but it's my Thursday Thirteen!

I used to plant pansies as a kid. Now I don't plant anything. This looks like a lot to me.

Snapdragons! I love snapdragons. My grandfather used to plant them for me with an empty space in the center for me to hide.

I love snap dragons and in the south pansies can last all year long if given just a little protection during heavy snow and ice. I'm not sure what we'll plant this year other than tomatoes, guess I'd better get thinking about it. ~ Calico Contemplations

I love petunias in all their colorful variations and have some seeds for this year. I didn't have much luck with them last year, but in 2008, I had two huge pots of them that sat in a stand at one side of our front door. They were just gorgeous.

I love geraniums too, but I've never grown them from seed.

You're going to have a lot of beautiful flowers this year. I've never had any luck with flowers so I leave that to my husband.

I hope you take some pics of these to share with us. This will be my first summer in an apartment. I will have window boxes for sure.
Happy T13!

I can't seem to get the flowers to survive our heat down here. But we did plant tomatoes, zucchini (yellow and green), bell peppers and strawberries this week!!

Man, and here I am, wondering if we'll actually plant herbs. You've got the flowers all mapped out.
