Morning Moose

I ran out to get the dogs out of their fenced yard. Rusty was busy barking and wouldn't come to me. I looked up and this is what he was barking at.
Look who Mama Moose has following her. Twins!
The babies were checking me out.
They decided I wasn't a threat and went back to eating.

Daisy and Hans wanted to know who was walking around their yard.

Time to go. Thanks for visiting.
Mama Moose leads the way down the road.
The obedient little ones follow. What a great way to start the day!

Moose are a lot of fun as they get pretty close - sometimes too close. Great pictures.

today we were driving home from a Christmas party at a friends house and they live out in the country. While we were on our way back it was dark and foggy and that always puts me on edge. I told Allan I was glad he was driving, because I was nervous. He asked me why and I said I'm always nervous about deer when I can't see very far ahead of me. Obviously that was ingrained from growing up in Wisconsin, where deer are around 3-400 lbs and total big trucks. Down here they look like large dogs, so there's really not much worry-though I still don't wanna hit one!! Anyway, I can't imagine living up there where I'd be worried to hit a MOOSE! LOL It'd be amazing to see them, though!!

Thanks for sharing this, Gayle!! What a perfect way to start the day! I just LOVE moose! I think they are so cool! None down here in AZ (I don't think - though we do have quite an elk population), but I've seen quite a few in Montana.

That is amazing. I don't think I would ever get used to that. But of course, I have green iguanas trying to chase me off of my deck so I guess nothing should surprise me.

Great captures. That's something not very many people get to see from their own yard!
