Of course the flowers are so pretty - but I especially wanted to compliment you on the wagon wheel decor in the fence and the awesome stone flower bed - my husband would be jealous - he's constantly picking up rocks from around our yard and making piles everywhere.
All of your hard work has really paid off! Your place couldn't be more beautiful and that's just one reason I've left an Award for you over at my blog!
Your photos are fantastic and I love visiting your family moments.
I am a lifelong Alaskan who grew up in Tok. I graduated from Eastern Washington University with degrees in Elementary Education K-8 and Special Education K-12. After college I came back home to Alaska and settled in Fairbanks. I've worked in various fields finally attaining the most important job title I'll ever hold - MOM!
I am married to my best friend, Homer. We share our home with our children...Nicholas, 16, Elijah, 13, Emily, 9, Olivia, 4, and Lucas, 3. My husband also has 3 other children who used to live with us. We have four dachshunds, one yellow lab, a sheep, a goose and a chicken.
We are forever working on our corner of the world to create a place of peace and harmony where we can live out our dreams as a family.
I love this man more and more with every passing day. He has worked so hard all his life and is such a good person. He deserves to be loved...and love him I will!
Nick
Our 16-year old who has been my buddy since he was just a little guy. I will never ever be ready for him to grow up and leave home. His passion is skateboarding, but he has played all kinds of sports. I can't think of anyone I would rather hang out with than Nick.
Elijah
Our 13-year old athlete who is tough as nails. He's a good-hearted kid who works hard at everything he does, but seems to have inherited his mom's bad luck. Nothing comes easy, but he never gives up.
Emily
Our sassy 10-year old who is quick to share her opinion at home, but is really shy out in the world. A beautiful girl still looking for her passion in life. Could it be that horse she is getting next summer?
Olivia
Our 4-going-on-14 year old who always has a big smile. She loves drawing, writing and animals.
Lucas
I can't believe our little man is three already. He's a spitfire who keeps us on our toes. He totally worships his big brother Nick who is so wonderful to spend so much time with him despite the 13 year age difference.
My husband has a 19, 16 and 12-year old who used to share our home with us.
Roxie
Budler's Shivering Roxie is a 3-year old AKC Piebald Dachshund who has given us two litters of puppies (7).
Rusty
Rusty is Elijah's long-hair dachshund. He is four years old and the father to Sally and Ruby.
Sally
Sally is the daughter of Roxie and Rusty, and belongs to Olivia. She will be two in December.
Ruby
Sister to Sally, Ruby is Emily's dog.
Roscoe
Roscoe is a 1-year old AKC Yellow Lab intended to be a gift that I got by default.
Daisy
Daisy is a sheep. She eats a lot, doesn't smell so great, doesn't have much of a personality, but she sure looks cool standing in the yard. Why do we have sheep? Because we can.
Hans
Hans is the last goose standing so to speak. We will no longer be raising any kind of water fowl, but he is welcome to live out his days on our farm.
