Happy Birthday Lucas!!

Today is our Lukey Monster's happy, happy birthday. He's officially TWO although the attitude that comes with turning two showed up a couple weeks ago. I would have posted a photo of a clean face, but I'm not sure I've ever seen a clean face on this little guy. He's a busy one!

Our two geese and six of the eight ducks.

Homer put in my hanging shelves yesterday to give me more room. We took a trip to Plant Kingdom for tomatoes and cucumbers.

We still need shelving on this side.
I'm trying potatoes in tires this year to free up one of the beds for more flowers. They are planted in the four tires and in the middle where they meet. I ran out of dirt for the other tires so I may try straw. I didn't have super success with the straw method last year, but would like to give it another try.

Laundry Update: The answer to the looming question "How much laundry can one family have?". Apparently, 30 loads per week. Friday-Thursday last week I washed 27 loads. The best I could tell there were 3 still in the baskets. Of course, I didn't do any laundry the past weekend so now I'm way behind again. This is a battle I will never win!

Spring Cleaning

It was a beautiful day yesterday. I had high hopes, but with the not-so-quick trip to Urgent Care to look at Nick's foot (skateboarding mishap) and Cody's Spring League hockey game we didn't get working until around 5:00pm.

Emily playing in the water.

This is Daisy. She's already had about five inches of wool cut off. She'll be shaved later in the summer when the nights are warmer.
These are Homer's goats. I have never forgiven them for eating my apple tree. He calls them Billy and Bob. Billy is the white female. Bob is the other one.
I raked a million (several) piles cleaning up the animal area. Now to haul them off...

The greenhouse is full. So far Impatiens, Petite Marigolds, Petunias, Asters and Nasturtiums have been planted. Today, we make more room.

Afternoon Play

Olivia was completely fascinated with "making footprints".
Lucas was not.
Olivia loves to help water the greenhouse.

Olivia and Lucas with (back to front) Sally, Ruby and Molly (all freshly bathed).
Lucas loving on Mama Roxie.
Those beautiful eyes.
Olivia's new thing is too take photos with my camera. We'll have to get her one of her own as mine is a little expensive for a three-year old. She took this of Daddy.
