Hot July!

July 17...
This is Andrea. I don't know the exact day this summer, but she got out of the cage and was free in the house for 3-4 days before Emily caught her. Do you have an idea how far a rat can jump?

This is Freaky Freddie. Honestly a pointless pet, but I gave him a home.

Rocks and more rocks.... filling in this spot.

Olivia had an eye appointment. She got a weaker prescription as her eyes improved. Hopefully as we continue treatment they will get even better. Ordered two new pairs of glasses.

Banana peppers and spring lettuce from the garden. Not even sure why I grow lettuce. I have a bed full now and no one eats it.

So what did the pig do? He just dug a hole next to the grate I installed trying to catch a chicken. Bad pig.

July 19...
Rocks around to the first orange buoy on the fence done!

Tried to till the weeds up so I could smooth it out and plant real grass. This is rocky and uneven. My tiller was way too light and just hopped. Homer has since brought home a big one, but I haven't even learned how to run it yet. Too many things going on.

July 20....
I think it rained twice all summer and one of them was parade day. It was damp, windy and cold. Of course, I have a ton of photos, but you've seen them before. I'll just share a couple. I love the ladies in their Golden Days dresses. Seems more entries are getting away from the history of the parade and going commercial. Just like the rest of the world, I guess.

The next two are old cars from the businesses that my husband works for. I'm sharing them because he's the one that got them both running for the parade. He's a jack of all trades.

July 21....
Rain or shine these two spend a lot of time in the water.

Yesterday (the Sunday before this photo) Homer hauled more fill for where the garage will sit. I'm not sure we're ever going to be satisfied. Since this photo we have taken down the trees behind the pile of wood and extended further.

My greenhouse... banana peppers.

Anaheim chili peppers.

Bell Peppers.

Jalapenos.

Second time in the pool for the day... this time he wore his jeans in!

Another tree pulled up for me to delimb. Kind of tired of messing with wood.

Supposed to rain today and my personal feeling is we'll have snow within 20 days. I hope I'm wrong and we make it to October. I'd better get out and finish moving the rock pile I started last night. Back later with more! :)

You will be glad for the wood when winter comes. Can't believe you could have snow soon.

Your veggies all look so good.
