He Plays Hard

When you take the field and make hit after hit like this one....

...and you run the ball fast...

...and it takes three guys to bring you down...

and you dive for balls thrown a bit off...

...then you're going to be sweaty and tired at the end of two quarters especially when you are playing both offense and defense. (Unfortunately, it was 0-44 at the half when he left to dress for Varsity...and it went on to be much worse).

He came out and worked really hard at blocking, but I was really bummed when he didn't get much playing time. He gives so much on the field that it's hard to watch him stand on the sidelines, but apparently they were playing a couple different formations tonight that he isn't in so this wasn't his day to shine.

He did continue to be the long snapper, was on the kick-off team and punt return so he was on the field some. The Varsity lost to North Pole 25-34, but it was 25-27 until near the end. Disappointing loss especially for the seniors (and we have a lot of them).

I am so mad at myself for not taking photos of the little ones who were real troopers hanging at the field from 4:00 until 10:00pm. That's a long time in the stands! Olivia dressed up in Emily's West Valley cheerleader outfit you might remember from Halloween. She was just adorable with her pom poms.

Well, it's late. Everyone is asleep and I should be, too. Lots to do tomorrow....

Great action photos, and someone has to be the losing team, but I am always on the sides of the losing ones. I like all your photos, you clicked at just the right moment. are you inside the netting?Hot and sweaty, that would be so true, those helmets would be heavy as well. Cheers,Jean.

Great photos of action and your son trying so hard and doing so well! I hope he gets more playing time next game.

You have some great pitures on here. I really need a good lense so I can take these kind of pictures. That will be my goal to happen before senior year!
