Where Have I Been?

I just haven’t been on the computer much lately. I’m missing checking in on my favorite blogs, but summer is such a busy time.

Thursday night Lucas had a soccer game. It was in the low 80’s and they were a sweaty bunch. We totally got our butts kicked 7-0.

I’ve been mowing and tidying the yard. Nothing spectacular. My brother, Larry, came to stay Friday & Saturday night so we took those evenings off. Back to the grind today as he got up early and has already headed home. Last night he made up a game and played with Olivia and Lucas.

As long as Lucas got the ball everything was fine.

But not so much when his sister did. He’s so competitive and a horrible loser. We are going to have to rope in that energy and turn it into something positive.

Oh, but he does make the cutest faces…. the five-minute fit, not so cute.

Hope everyone has been enjoying their weekend. It was nice to have family here and the weather was warm enough we could sit in the yard and enjoy the flowers.

Did I mention Andrew moved into the motorhome in the yard? Yep, he’s back home now, too. (He’s out there because he works nights and sleeps during the day… that would be hard to do in this house). Elijah got a job and started Friday as well. Always so much going on. I can hear hubby now dumping a load of fill. He got up early and got started. Eight more Sunday’s and it will be September when he needs to start putting up the shop before it snows. Sure hope he makes it!! I’ve got a load of compost to finish spreading in Daisy’s pen and grass seed to plant. Hoping it takes this time and grows (we tried this when we first got her) so she has a cleaner pen and isn’t so dusty. Guess I better get a move on….

Thank you for all of your blog posts. Seriously, when I start feeling over-worked and under-appreciated, you inspire me to look at the bigger picture and be the Mom I want to be for my kids.

So sweet the pictures of your children!! Looks like a fun weekend! :) I enjoyed the posts...love to see into other families lives! Especially in a generation that families are becoming more and more obsolete
