Saturday Flies By

Our day started with a soccer game. I think he was 2 seconds into the game when he took a ball to the face. Such a tough guy though. He kept right on playing. When he subbed out, he had a bloody nose. Didn’t even phase him!

Pretty fast paced for such little guys. I took a lot of shots, but never did get the settings quite right so they were really blurry.

Lucas is just so happy to be out there.

I drive by these reindeer at least four times a day. Figured it was about time I stopped and took a photo for my followers.

Here he is a little closer…enjoying the sunshine. It was +12* at the time.

That’s the UAF campus. The odd shaped building on the right is the new museum.

Look…the sun is finally shining brightly on my little corner of the world. Love the light. It’s good for the soul.

Daisy is enjoying the sunshine as well.

The snow is 1/3 of the way up the greenhouse door. Long way to go before gardening time.

Of course, that didn’t stop me from planting some seeds today and getting things under way. You can read about all my dirt sterilization and seed planting at my gardening blog if you are interested in that sort of thing.

Homer made it to the soccer game and then came home to work on the stairs after that. Progress is slow, but steady. We made a late run to Lowe’s for more wood (and seeds…I can’t resist). We stopped by to get Elijah from his community service work and then drove home to a dancing sky. I realize this is a crappy blurry photo, but I just wanted to show you the sky was green. I really need a tri-pod!

Olivia is spending the night out, Lucas fell asleep on the way home and it’s 10:00pm….time to make the hubby stop working and watch a movie. Tomorrow’s another day.

Ohmigod, he is so cute out there playing soccer. How do you not run on the court and smooch his little cheeks?
