Mom's Garden

My mother was an avid gardener at her home in Alaska where she taught me to love flowers. When I arrived and saw that there wasn't a garden the wheels in my head started spinning. It was decided we'd make a sort of Memorial Flower Garden for my mom (giving my poor sister-in-law more work after we all leave....I'm here to tell you, one better not forget to water each evening. In 103* the pots dry out fast!).

The girls and I hit the local depot and had a plant buying frenzy. We had so much fun. I didn't know that this side of my family didn't know about flowers. I guess I just assumed everyone was a gardener!

Day One.....

Little Miss Carissa.....

My Dear Misty....

Little Olyvia.....

Sweetheart Deja.....

Pretty Jackie.....
 Day Two....

We picked up clay pots so the garden could be an expression of each of us.

Wait until you see what we've done.
