Spring is Finally Coming to My House

Hmmm...what do we have here?
Yup.  He got stuck in his own driveway.  I did, too.  Good thing we have Homer around to pull us out.  This is the worst our driveway has ever been because it didn't get plowed all winter. Now that I have a plow for my 4-wheeler this is not going to be an issue again! I can't wait until that 4-inch thick ice ledge melts!

Just too cute!  I took this last week with my phone.  Now the yellow ones are twice that size!
This is one of those times I wish I lived in the middle of town. It takes me a gallon of gas just to drive Olivia to school and come home.  When I have to run errands or go in more that once it can quickly turn into a $20+ trip. I really need a more economical vehicle, but this one is paid for and I sure don't need another payment!
Lucas and I took a side road home to see the reindeer.  This train went flying by on my left so fast it startled me.
Obviously, they are used to the train.  This is up at the Large Animal Farm at the University of Alaska-Fairbanks.
We had a few days of sunshine and took full advantage of it.  (It's sprinkling this morning. Yuck!).
The snow is melting to slow for me so I shoveled off the first beds into the driveway and plowed it away.  Now that things seem to be melting faster I'm going to save my back for more important things.
Once summer hits and it is dry I won't burn a fire (even if we are careful).  I don't want to be responsible for starting a wildfire so while it is wet we are having lots of campfires.  There's no better place to do school work.
Laughter is one of the most beautiful sounds in the world.

I can't believe the snow you still have and the gas prices....and I thought I had rough in living in Maine, our gas is 3.91 a gallon! At least you know how to take advantage of those good days and enjoy the warmer temps.

Hope you thaw fast or those plants will take over soon. The peeps are so cute when small and then get kind homely as they get older. Olivia is going to be a crative one I can tell. she always has paint or crayon or something going on.

I wish I could get my kids to focus on homework outside. I swear they need a sensory deprivation tank to stay focused. Every butterfly, leaf or noise would send them into fits of creative observation. Maybe we should then...
