It Was A Happy Easter

It's time for a big post giving  you a peek into our weekend....warning...my "good camera" needs to go into the shop to be cleaned so I used my pocket camera.  It is obvious it has seen better days.  The photos are awful, but the memories were good.

Not the first kid to jump up and lend a hand, but with enough fighting prodding I got him to shovel out the fire pit.

He also vacuumed out his car, put in a battery and drove it across the yard for the first time.  I wish you could see the smile on his face. Dad got him the car over a year ago, but he's only 15 so it will be awhile before he gets to drive it.

Why do birds sleep in their food dish?
Dad colored eggs with the kids.  (Coloring eggs and carving pumpkins...two things I really do not like to do so Dad does it).

Isn't he about the most handsome little guy?
Looking for eggs and their baskets.

Elijah and Nick hid over a hundred eggs outside for a the younger kids.
What an adorable group of hunters.
Lucas ran so fast around the yard he ran right past most of them.  He was very excited. Or he had too much sugar. Or both.

Lucas got a little direction to the money egg and when he found it he screamed "money, money" and shook the egg until it broke apart and scattered quarters everywhere.  Good thing he had helpers to pick it up.

Travis helped the kids search the front yard.
I'm so glad my niece came up with her family.
Lucas got a hand from his brothers.
Elijah almost fell in the pool!
My ex-husband's wife came over with her niece and nephew for the egg hunt. The more the merrier!
Lucas was running around barefoot so he's showing you how crazy tough Alaskans are.
Homer, Nick, Elijah and Travis fixed Nick's stereo.  One of the 20 wires it took to hook it up  disconnected.
Lucas wore Travis out playing hockey and jumping on the trampoline.
At this point I forgot about the camera so I missed photos of our other guests.  Dave and Dawson came by as well as Mary and her two grandchildren.  Later we ate ham and the fixings, sat by the fire into the evening and roasted some marshmallows.  It was one of the best Easter's in quite awhile.  It was awesome to have  family and friends over on such a sunny day.  Can't wait to do it again!!

Loved your Easter pictures - especially the ones of you all outside in TEE shirts in the SNOW! Wow! Everyone looked like they were having so much fun.

Sounds like an awesome time :) So glad that everyone could make it over to celebrate. We had a big crowd at my mom's too...and it was probably the best easter dinner we've had in a long time...the more the merrier is so spot on.
