Buried

This morning opened my door to this.  Not sure what the "official" snow fall was, but I had to have gotten at least a foot this weekend.  Then add the wind blowing everything off the trees and into the yard means I'm buried without a shovel.  Kind of like up a creek without a paddle, but not as much fun. Or as warm.
Will have to wade through knee deep snow just to get to the van.  Not that it can get out of the driveway, though.  Yes, we do have a jeep with a snow plow, but it hasn't moved for 3 or 4 years now.  It has an electrical problem.  The plow isn't on the 4-wheeler yet...it's been too cold to work outside to put it on.  Guess it is shovel time!!

That's a 55-gallon drum that wasn't buried two days ago.
I think the fire pit and chairs are officially gone until Spring.
Stairway to Heaven, I mean, to my bedroom.
Up to my thighs to get to Daisy.
Having a hard time visualizing my greenhouse actually growing something in two months.

It's blowing like crazy.  I was nervous shovelling the path to Daisy.  Branches fly off Birch trees all the time.  Just what I need...to get knocked out while home alone left to freeze to death.
Okay, it may look pretty, but it isn't.
See there? Open and smashed mailbox?  Exactly why we don't use it and I keep giving out my PO number, but some people just don't get it.  Well, if you sent me something in there it has blown down the road.
Deck railing....
It's a 60' X 8' deck.  That's a lot of snow to move. Wish I had a snow shovel instead of this little dirt shovel.  Thanks to my lovely children for leaving it laying who knows where.  I'd got to town to buy another one, but my van isn't going to make it down the driveway. *edited*(Hubby brought me one when he picked us up for conferences).

The video will make you a little dizzy.  I didn't realize I was panning so quickly.

Look at that snow!!! I heard that it was like that there today! I know it doesn't seem pretty to you right now, but it is. Thanks for posting the pictures. I will be back in fbks in 3 weeks, hoping the snow stays! Except...I hope it goes away on your pathway to the upstairs!

Looking at your photos makes me think maybe I should stop whining about our snow this winter! I probably won't, but at least I can see that I should!

Wish I could do more than just send positive thoughts your way!

I think you better get several shovels so everyone can help! That is quite a load.

Wow...that's a LOT of snow for you. I feel for you, the snow is the reason we got the tractor...we needed to be able to move snow around to get out. For the record, I can't even count how many shovels we've lost...Until I assigned the boys to shovel...now they keep track of them SO much better :P lol
I hope you get unburied soon!

Yes, it is beautiful!! But having lived in similar surroundings, I know it's a pain in the a......
Hope you and Homer can get out and buy a new shovel. Guess the kids can't remember where exactly they left the existing one?? I'm sure this won't help, but BIG HUGS to you!!

we got another 4 inches just yesterday but it seems like nothing compared to the three feet we already have. I had to buy a new shovel too. they are not cheap;.

I understand about the trees. We woke up after the great snowfall, to find a tree laying across our front year (almost buried from the snow). So I guess it will sit there until spring. ha
