I Love Basketball!!

I am so totally in love with this kid.  All day, every day it is a full-time over-time job being his mother.  You have no idea.  But at the end of the day, I could not be prouder to call him my son.  I cherish every moment, the good and bad, that we have together. (And whomever said basketball was "cheap" is mistaken.  How do you like the new shoes he's sportin'?  He blew out the old pair).

This was ball night so for my hard-working husband I baked a salmon fillet and potatoes so when he got home dinner was waiting.  I mean seriously,  the guy is up before 5 am, has Elijah to the weight room by 5:55am, is at work before 6:30, doesn't get off until 5:30-6:00pm, picks up the Wee People, is home playing games with them and gets to bed at 10 or 11 just to repeat it again the next day.  Without complaint.  Ever.  My kids are so lucky to have a man so dedicated to parenting.  He is completely selfless.  It's never about "his time" or "getting his rest", it's all about his family.  I am blessed beyond belief.  We all are.
Tonight it was a bummer of a loss for the JV.  My boy was big and when he played, he played hard.  The Wee People have finally figured out how to act appropriately in public.  Let's just say the first few games we wanted to give them away. Their behavior was awesome tonight.  Nick, my side kick, was there and all we were missing was my dear Emily who is my statistician.  Nick wanted to be the photographer tonight.  This would be about 98% of his shots.  Ummm, can you say distracted?  Gotta love that kid despite his photography skills! :)
My baby girl comes home tomorrow.  It's a big week.  Lots of fun.  So glad I feel human again.  The seven of us at The White House are doing great.  It's all a state of mind and if you chose not to let the negative bring you down you can soar. Crossing my fingers for smooth days to come.
