It Is A Merry Christmas!

The Day Before Thanksgiving Emily and I put up the tree as she had to leave for a week the next day.  I didn't want to wait and I didn't want her to miss it....

The boys made the decision to use kid ornaments.  Em and I were going to use bows and ribbons, but this whole court thing has made them hang tighter to what has been real in their lives.  So we dug out every thing they've ever made or been given and filled the tree.  I like it.

There was a little combat decorating, but no serious injuries.
This little purple tree Em and I picked up at the store for Nick's room. He likes purple.
And this tree...it is our second tree.  The first, with the kid ornaments is 10 ft.  This is a 6 ft. tree in Rasta colors just for our special Senior, Nick.  It was fun.

The finished product. Normally, I do a bunch of outside lights, but this year we are letting it go in trade for more time playing together. It's been such a great week. Mmmmmm.

LOve a tree with all kinds of ornaments....memories. I love how the kids look at each and every ornament and tell a story where it came from. Fun times for sure!

My favorite tree is the Rastafarian!
You do realize that you are the Mom that everyone wishes they could be right? I haven't put up any Christmas decorations yet. I should get on that. Soon.

The tree is beautiful, and the kids seemed to have a great time decorating it.
