So Very Busy

It's been a week already? Time really does fly by in the Spring. I have so many things to do and not enough hours to do them. My petunia seeds arrived from Harris Seeds. Yay! The other wall of shelves has been started.

The kids got a package from Granma Claudia and Papa Doug in Oregon. They were all thrilled.

A couple more lilies have bloomed.

It seems like the kids always want to go somewhere or someone calls for them....I want the kids to have fun, but I feel like I hardly get to spend time with them so this weekend was a family weekend. It was perfect and I'm definitely doing more of this! This area is upstairs and used to be a living room. Emily has her things here and somehow it becomes a catch-all disaster. All the stuff piled to the left (and there was more you can't see) is waiting to be carried downstairs. (It was worse before this photo!) Emily and I spent all day Sunday cleaning this, dancing to music and doing 11 loads of laundry. Whew!

Nice to have this kid home, too. Yes, there is writing on the walls. This room is next to be remodelled and all that will be covered in sheet rock so he might as well have fun with it now.

There were also a few scooter races during break time. Looks like Lucas is the winner! :) Ug! This deck needs re-done, but it is so far at the bottom of the list. We never use it anyhow.

Snow, snow go away! I see a pool that needs clean, a sheep pen that needs raked, a greenhouse that needs new plastic....lots and lots of work!

We did it! Emily's things are neatly put to the side. Once the little bedroom is done she will move in to there....temporarily. Eventually, this area will have walls to be another bedroom. The old kitchen will also become a bedroom, and where I am standing to take the photo will become a sewing room. Just can't happen fast enough!

Dad ripped out the closet shelves and put up boards to screw the sheet rock to. We have the sheet rock, mud, tape, paint, carpet and trim....now we just need the time! Emily is very excited to have her room almost done.

Here's the other project from the weekend. Nick gave Elijah his bike to clean, sand down and repaint. Dad's been working with him and it's hard to get Elijah to slow down and do things the right way, but he is and it looks great.

Well, I have plants to care for and seeds to get in the dirt, a house to clean and more laundry. Like I said...a busy time of year!

Gayle...love the new header! You are going crazy with all your plants. Guess what, Harris Seeds is about 15 minutes from our farm!

At least some of the snow is gone!

I can't believe how quickly your snow has melted!
The livingroom looks GREAT! I love it when the kids and I can take the time and get stuff like that done. It always feels so good afterwards!
I have to ask...how do you manage to get your flats of flowers to grow?? I have started stuff...and they will start to grow..then the stem wilts or rots or something and it dies. I can grow things once they get in the ground..but not in a green house! ugh!
Looking great there..I hear ya..it IS a busy time of year.

Oh my!! You and Emily managed a miracle this weekend! Great job! I'm sure you had some other helping hands. And other things got done, too! You are amazing!!

Wow Gayle ~ You and yours are certainly busy at this time of year. Gardening, home remodeling, bike repainting, some playing too. Everything is looking good.

your gardens are going to be great with all those flowers and all your hard work will have paid off.

I get exhausted just reading about everything you do--and have to do. Do you ever slow down? LOL. Love the flower pictures.
