Back to Taking Photos!

Our day starts way too early for this night owl. When does your day start??

The first alarm is at 5:30am when my Love hits the shower. The second alarm is at 6:00am when I wake Elijah to shower. Then I go down to the we-will-pee-on-the-floor-if-you-don't-hurry POS dogs and take them outside. Then it is either make coffee or heat up a cup of yesterday's coffee while they do their business. Feed Roscoe, feed the pups and then make Elijah's lunch. Same thing every day. And don't talk to me while I do it because I'm not a morning person.

Yes, they are all locked in that teeny tiny space. Yes, the three females are in heat. No, they can't come out until they are no longer in heat. Sorry.

Dad heads off to work and I drive Elijah 1.5 miles to the bus stop. At exactly 6:45am every single day I drive back home. I love that bus driver. It is so dark.

I sat by the fire sucking down coffee because I stayed up until 2:00am the night before. I enjoyed the local paper (aka see who got a DWI and beat their wife). Then I went out and loaded the wood Nick chopped the day before and brought it in.

Then I sat by the fire (really I was dozing) for half an hour before doing more chores. By-the-way, it is my opinion that the dishwasher is one of the greatest inventions of all time. I really really really despise washing dishes.

I let this guy sleep until 8:30am and then woke him up to do his online classes. This semester he is taking only science at school. Online he takes consumer math, both first and second semester of US History (since he was misled by the school counselor as a Freshman and is all screwed up as a Junior), Journalism and a PE Course. Three days a week he goes down to the school between 11:00 and 1:00 for lunch and his class. Two days a week he doesn't go at all. This "alternative" method to school really suits this kid. He's really laid back and not a schedule type of guy. He gets in a little social time, does the bulk of his work at home with my help and then gets to spend a lot of hours doing whatever he wants. (The best part is I get to spend more time with him!). I'm so glad we are doing this.

This morning I had a ham, cheese and onion omelet. It was kind of a flashback. A few years ago I lost 50 pounds in 3 months on this very diet. For breakfast I had this omelet and toast, coffee with Extra and creamer (I won't give up creamer for anyone). Lunch and dinner was one can of vanilla Slim Fast. I went to Curves for the 30-minute circuit (but actually did 45 minutes), no alcohol and voila...50 pounds gone. Sure wish I could motivate myself like that again! :)

After breakfast I decided to work on my resolutions and read. Nope. Heavy sweater, blanket, hot fire does not equal reading. Instead I got back up and went to see Daisy. Stinky Daisy. I think I've reached a point where I want to sell her. Sheep have ZERO personality (sorry to those of you with sheep that do, but mine does not). She is a lot of work and really stinks all the time. I would rather have a couple dwarf goats. Now they have personality. We'll see what Spring brings.

Was it really that long ago we were swimming right here? We sure haven't had much snow this year, but I imagine we'll get dumped on in March right before it is supposed to melt.

My poor poor greenhouse. We knew the visqueen would fall apart. That's what happens in the cold. We'll just have to clean it up and recover it. It is something like $1200 to side the greenhouse, but it only takes $100 worth of visqueen. Like I said before, my money tree died so until I grow another one we'll just recover it each year.

Looking forward to seeing leaves on these trees.

Roscoe ran around with me today. You have no idea the package of energy he is. It's dangerous to say the least.

I did some sewing today. Just thought I'd let you know that sewing doll clothes for my daughter's doll is NOT nearly as rewarding as I had hoped. In fact, it completely sucks. My arthritic hands do not like the tiny detail. Tomorrow I'll finish up Emily's matching pajamas. Oh, and I knitted a bunch on a blanket while we watched a movie. All in all it was quite the productive day considering I only had four hours of sleep. If I hurry I can get 5 hours tonight! :) Night all!

I don't know how you can function on that amount of sleep...I NEED 8 hours...I can get by with 7..but 8 is ideal. If I don't get it...just don't talk to me...ever...
I like the alternative schooling that Nick is doing...I wish more schools would offer that...my boys would do well with something like that I think.
I hope you got some rest :)
p.s. not all of my sheep have personalities either...and they ALL stink :-P lol

OMG!! I can hardly manage the 6:30 wake up I have for my DD. I'd be fine with 7:30. But I thrive on the night hours when everyone else has gone to sleep and I have the house to myself. I have to make myself go to bed at a reasonable hour, but usually I'm just getting started on something right about then.

LOVE the close up of the fence segment with snow on it!! FAB picture!!

Goats are kind of fun. More active and entertaining than sheep. But I think they are still stinky!

Enjoy that fire!!!

I'm tired... I get up early every day because, I am a morning person, trouble is, I'm a late night person too - 4-5 hrs of sleep is about it for me!

I too love the "artistic" photo of the fence!

My daughter does 100% virtual school. She does not miss the drama of school. She has friends all over the country/world that she interacts with on online! Straight As -first time EVER!

Roscoe looks like he's having a great time, but the greenhouse doesn't look nearly as cheery in the snow!
