It was a Merry Christmas!

We had our "big" dinner on Christmas Eve this year so Emily would be with us. I think I like that better. I was able to just relax on Christmas Day.

After dinner the kids opened one present.

The all got pajamas (imagine that!) I sewed Emily and Olivia's, but ran out of time to make some for the boys.

Emily wrote Santa a note, we all signed it and then it was off to bed to let the big guy do his thing.

Christmas morning was full of fun...

Aunt Linda and Uncle Jim brought gifts for the little ones and cash for the boys. They are so thoughtful and generous to our family.

Emily got a new iPod to replace the one that was lost/stolen two years ago. Granma and Papa sent her a pretty glass necklace.

Homer is always telling Nick stories and joking around with him. This is one of those times...remember the plastic that held the six-packs of pop together? And how guys would fold them up to pull apart seeing who was the strongest? Homer found some in the junkyard and Nick found it wasn't as easy as he thought.

I made a lot of hats this year for the kids, and immediately they were giving me ideas on more they want me to make!

Granma and Papa sent the little ones some books, and they sure do love to read.

Nick loves to wear plaid, and is on a mission to bring back the v-neck. This kid really is a riot.

Nothing like the smile when they open something they really wanted. Elijah's hands are always cold so hopefully this mittens will do the trick.

I have several presents that I was sewing that didn't get completely finished. Some are clothes for this doll and the one Emily got from Grandma Debbi on her birthday. Nick had so much fun messing with Lucas. Here he got Lucas all excited thinking he got Mac 'n Cheese for a present (he loves that stuff), but really it was a shirt.

Hopefully now he will quit taking my glass cups in the car to work!

Barbies and jewelry boxes. Everything Girl!

Grandma Debbie sewed flannel pillow cases for all the kids and of course, there were more hats!

Elijah is all smiles after getting the new touch SpyderII phone that I really, really want to keep for myself because it was so cool, but he'll use it so much more than I ever would. Nick got a waterproof video camera and immediately wished it was summer so he could take it in the pond.

Gloves and jammies...I really enjoyed making gifts and want to make more next year. I just need to start a little earlier!

Here comes Elijah with Dad's surprise. He sure got a kick out of it.

After all these years he could still ride it.

A wonderful Christmas Day was had by all, and was made complete when Andrew, Cody and Sydney came to visit for a few hours. A perfect day.

So glad you had a great day! The unicycle is hilarious! And what a talent you are with the pj making and hat sewing! I laugh at how y'all are in Alaska, in short sleeves and bare feet and we are in the deep south bundled beyond belief and it's only 50 degrees out!
