What a Bad Funk Day

I had a lousy unproductive waste of a day. I do not like days like today. I never could find it...just couldn't get going. I hate that. Tomorrow will be better.

I did plant a few potatoes. Does that count as an accomplishment? Not really.

This girl...no matter the wind or not so super sunny skies...has to get in that water every day. It may only be for a minute, but she is drawn to it. Lukey not so much. :)

See Pretty Boy Floyd sportin' the sweatshirt? Ya, so much for the double-header. First game. He's the second batter. His first at bat he jacks the ball into a triple. Running like lightening, but not really warmed up....he's pulls something. Maybe a groin. Maybe a butt muscle. Maybe something with his hip. He doesn't say a word. Plays catcher two more innings and then is up to bat again. Hits a single. They call time at first because he "needs to walk it off". Still doesn't tell his coach. Next kids hits a triple and catches Elijah at second pushing him. Finally, after rounding third he walks...in massive pain and tears to the catcher...gets out and sits for the rest of the game and the whole next game. First of all, it sucks that he is hurt, but most of all.....sitting, keeping score for the team and watching other people's children play until 10:30 at night IS NOT FUN. I have no idea how serious the injury is. I guess we'll see what he is capable of in the morning. I hope he isn't out for the season.

Oh, and I missed Nick's soccer game to watch Elijah sit on the bench. Figures. Nick says he scored a goal and they won 8 to 1 (or something like that) to the worst team in the league. I'll be able to see him play on Wednesday since he's at 6:00pm and Elijah's game is at 8:15pm (if Elijah can even play).
Here's no a non-funky icky bad day tomorrow. For everyone.

I hope Elijah is feeling better and won't have to miss his next game.

I see all kinds of small green thingys growing in your flower beds. :-) I can't wait to see them all in bloom.

It sure looks like the Wee People are having a great time. Of course they usually do. :-) I just wish I had a little of their energy.
