*edited to say...I did this last night and posted four minutes before the "scheduled outage". Apparently, it didn't post*
My original 13 is below, but I thought I'd do a quick one on the theme prompt "13 Things I Love About My Wedding".
1. My husband to be. I cannot describe the feeling I had looking into his eyes. Like we always say....if we only would have met years ago....
2. I loved that we held our two children together during the ceremony. That wasn't intended, but they freaked out with all the people and started to cry. Homer held Lucas and I held Olivia as we exchanged vows.
3. The weather was awesome. The heavens shone brightly on us.
4. Aunt Linda performed the ceremony. That added meaning to it all.
5. Debbi was at my side. I can't think of another woman who has done more for me over the years and been a better friend.
6. So many took the time out of their busy summer lives to come by and wish us well. It meant so much.
7. That the wedding was more about the kids than us...swimming, wiffle ball...they even had friends spend the night...on my wedding night. (We stayed home).
8. I loved that we didn't have to spend a fortune. Our wedding wasn't about the dress or rings or reception or any of that....it was about joining two families into one. All the other little details really didn't matter. Homer, myself and our eight children were the focus.
9. I loved that we got married at home, in our front yard that we worked so hard to create. It was the perfect back drop.
10. I loved the way several friends jumped in at the last minute and helped with things I never got around to doing (like ordering a cake...Kris made sure I had one!).
11. It meant so much that Homer's family was here with us...Mom, Dad, Aunts, Uncles...family is the only thing that matters.
12. I loved that no one was hurt. I can't say the same for animals (that goes out to the boys who threw firecrackers in the pond and killed the fish...I know who you are!).
13. My husband to be. I realize that I mentioned how much I loved him in #1, but really he is the beginning and the end. We are working on the middle.
(It's 1:10am...I'm tired. I will change this to add a photo, but if you are here before I do that I guess you'll just have to come back to see it! :)

I had a home wedding too! It was my aunt's house, but still a house. :)
Beautiful post! I think a wedding should be about more than just the dress.
