A Bit About a Few Days

Molly is all spiffed up and ready to go to her new home. After 16 months there was no denying that Molly wasn't going to fit into our family after all. Her personality didn't mesh with the other dogs or the family. Every union is not always meant to be (guess if it was there wouldn't be divorces now would there?!) For anyone who thinks we abandoned her and shouldn't have any more animals you are mistaken...we loved Molly enough to wait and find her a good and loving home that suited her personality. Everyone (including Molly) will be much happier.
Emily has now "adopted" Ruby. Of course, Ruby has always lived with us. She's Molly's sister, but now she'll be Emily's dog. Their personalities are a perfect match! We picked up one of those your-dog-is-in-heat-and-we-are-going-to-overcharge-you-diapers to try on the dogs. Besides the fact that they do go in to heat on occasion, they have a potty-in-the-house problem. Hopefully, this will deter that. She sure was liking the new bed Emily brought her.
Check out Roxie. Could she be any more relaxed?
Look at the wonderful swap package I received. See the spice seeds? More planting!
Little Lukey tripped and hit his eye on the corner of a suitcase he was playing with.

A couple hours later he went running through the house, tripped on the rug and went head first into the foot stool. He's got quite a knot on his forehead. He is exactly like Elijah was at this age. What am I going to do?
I woke up this morning feeling fantastic, and I hate mornings. I even made waffles and french toast rather than the usual cold cereal. I guess it is on day 23 of the hubby being gone that I've snapped out of feeling sorry for myself, and have decided to enjoy life!
Good morning. Rusty is such a gentlemen letting the ladies eat first. (Like he had a choice).
Yep, the rain turned to snow last night.
Good morning to you, too, Roscoe.

All the birds were about this morning.

Lucas played a little computer while I did laundry.

The sun was really trying to shine, but it didn't work out so well.

Today I went to three different schools and ran some errands. It's been a pretty good day so far except for the unfortunate Peeping Tom incident this morning. While upstairs doing the laundry I look out the window to a man looking back with a camera. He saw me see him and scurried off down a trail through the woods. He looked suspiciously like my neighbor who is constantly doing freaky things like that (when his wife isn't looking) to harass me and my kids. I get the occasional nut case that's been in the woods too long, but I can't imagine what those of you who live in big cities deal with. Well, the kids are trickling home from school and the babies are at Grandma's so I'm going to do some more planting. Happy weekend to all! :)

Poor Lukey's head!
Great relaxation photo of Roxie.
Glad you're feeling more upbeat. It must be tough taking care of everything with hubby gone. Hope he's back soon.

I just loved being pulled into your day. Poor little guy though. Those bumps and scrapes sure do hurt but the are the "bumps and scrapes" that will help define him. :)

I do have to say that I am in love with your last picture! It could be made into a card or postcard for sure.

loving that chilling doxie, peeping tom's? not cool, not cool at all; isn't it amazing how little ones just bounce back??
