A Friend Badge

I got an award from Bonnie at Where did this all come from? It was so very thoughtful of her. Let's take a moment to enjoy....

Okay...so here's what the friends award is all about...

"These blogs are exceedingly charming. These kind bloggers aim to be friends. They are not interested in self-aggrandizement. Our hope is that when the ribbons of these prizes are cut, even more friendships are propagated. Please give more attention to these kind writers."
When you pass the award along please include these guidelines. I am to choose eight friends to share this with.
I know this is way too much writing and too much to read, but too bad. When given an award you are obliged to read about it. It's in the rules. Seriously. I am not kidding. You have to read this! :)
Self-aggrandizement? My blogger friend Tink tells me that Google is my friend so yes, I googled self-aggrandizement. It was a compliment! :) And really, pretty truthful. I blog to share my family, my world and meet people around the country. I'm a pretty faithful commenter and hope to meet some of you one day. It would make sense that right-off-the-bat I am going to award Tink with a friends badge. Go check her blog out. Everything you ever needed to know about Walt Disney World is there. And she's funny, too.
Wow, eight people. Hmmmm. (This may be a Tink-breaking-the-rules-moment). Speaking of breaking the rules, ChrisC and JonJ like to break the rules. They are also friend-type bloggers. In fact, I am positive self-aggrandizement cannot be used to describe their blogging. Go see for yourself.
Another great friend/blogger is Tootie. Not only is Tootie informative, kind, shares a lot of her world, but she actually reaches out into the "real world" with her friendship. I have a very special bracelet on my wrist to prove it. Tootie has several blogs that can provide you with a lot of information about Paradise (Florida for those of you who didn't know where Paradise was).
My real-life friend, Patticakes, is one of the most unselfish people I know. She also is a good friend who likes to make friends. And she lives at the North Pole. How cool is that?!
I can't leave out the Snowbirds. The friends badge would go perfectly on their blog. Snowbird is a retired teacher kickin' it in Florida. She shares her world with me, and always makes a point to check in and see how I am doing. It doesn't get anymore friendly than that!
Little Black Scrap Cat is quickly becoming a friend through blogging. She does a lot of scrap booking and when I ask a question she answers it! I mean, in detail. She gives a lot of herself to be a good friend in blogging. You should go see the great things she creates.
Last but not least (yes, I know that is only seven and I'm going to live on the edge...I need to do that more in my life) I am giving the friends badge to Lori at the Skoog Farm Journal. Every day Lori shares her small community in western New York, her dogs and her horses. She's a faithful commenter, and she goes the extra mile reaching out into Blogland. We have completely different views on the politics and the world, yet we have so much in common with the animals and love of people. I do believe her blog was the first one I started reading a year ago! Go see her beautiful farm.
Okay, that's it. I hope everyone posts their friend badge proudly. You really are friend material, and each one of you does a little something that enhances my life. Thank-you!

Wow. Thanks! I so enjoy checking in to read about your family, the snowdrifts, the beautiful scenery around you, the moose in your yard etc. And I'm glad that you check in on me and my life. Isn't it funny how even though some of us have never met or may never meet, we still feel like friends. Again, thanks for the award. I'm not sure I can come up with 8 more friends though since you named most of mine already!!! LOL

Thanks Gayle! We have been communicating on a very regular basis since I started this Journal. No doubt about it, this has been a great format for meeting people and learning so much about them, their families, homes, pets, likes, dislikes etc. Appreciate the kind comments....

Gayle, you are a sweetheart! The reason you have so many friends is because you are such a nice person.

I truly enjoy reading about your frosty adventures up there in the frozen north. I also have fun seeing photos of the family. I plan to watch the Wee People grow up.

Can't wait to meet you in person!

Like Ms Snowbird said, you have already awarded my favorite blogger friends right here, so I can't come up with any new ones. I'll just say that I am proud to call all of you my friend. :-)
