It's foggy this morning. It's also raining. The pool is full of leaves. The rain is making them sink, and it's going to be that much harder to clean. It's 40 degrees out, but feels much colder. I have so much to do outside, but I have Wee People. It takes 5 minutes for them to get wet, and then they are cold and miserable. It takes ten minutes to get them ready to go out, and another ten to clean them up. All for 5 minutes of work.
I've cleaned here and there in the garden beds. I hate to rip out blooming flowers. I would hate cleaning them out in the snow even more. If I could trust Lucas to watch me from the window I'd go out in that cold rain to work. No, I can't trust him! He's two. He's a boy. Need I say more?

I am totally with you! I HATE fall and winter.
From September to May my allergies flare up and I get 6 months solid of puffy eyes and misery... Moving to Arizona didn't help. I can't wait to go back to Nebraska, at least there it snows so I can throw snow to make me feel better.
I wish I could send you some of our 90 degree, very humid weather. I have to admit though, I do miss the changing of the colors. It may be cold and wet there but your pictures are still beautiful.
How 'bout you just let 'em decompose under the snow? That there's good organic material, and you may get some "volunteers" from the annuals if you just leave 'em lay till spring.
