When Emily was a little girl I would tell her it was "Emily's Moon" she was seeing in the sky. As she grew she really believed it was her moon because it followed her everywhere. Driving in the van the other night Olivia tells me that "her moon is following her". Now this isn't something I've done with her, but it may be that she over heard me telling Mr. White Emily's story. Times have changed...now you are looking at Olivia's Moon.
And soon I can start showing you photos of the Northern Lights. (Actually, they've been out already, but at 2:00am and I'm not up!).
Go here and join Sky Watch. You know you want to!

Emily's moon is very beautiful. That's a wonderful story. Makes me think of Eric Carle's book, "Papa, Bring me the Moon."
Beautifully moody pictures of the moon!
I like the way you introduced Emily to the moon! :-) When I was a little girl, my parents always talked about the "Man in the Moon" (and they didn't mean an astronaut!). I used to gazed at the full moon, and my imagination let me see an old old man, carrying a bundle of wood sticks on his shoulder. I can see him to this day. ;-)
This is beautiful! Thanks for sharing and greetings.
Olivia's moon looks very beautiful behind the tree branches. This is a lovely night time photo.
These moons are gorgeous, just waiting for some magical story to be told! Great pics!

TRue, it follows you everywhere, a creepy yet dramatic skywatch! Happy weekend.

These are very creative...
Will be looking forward to seeing your northern-lights...
That's great that you got that with the trees. Last night, I went around looking for a shot of the moon that would incorporate the trees, but just wasn't happy with any of the angles.
Cute story about the kids. :-)
Great shots. I still see the man in the moon. And I can't wait for pictures of the Northern Lights. I grew up in central Michigan and we used to see them every once in awhile. I always thought they were so amazing.
That same moon was mine when was a child. Nice shot.
Thanks for the visit. Your moon (and Emily's and Olivia's) has benn beautifully captured. Love the refection. Can't wait to see your northern lights! Happy weekend.

Interesting shot of the moon sort of a moody look to it.

That is a lovely story to tell. Your photo is soft and delicate. Beautiful. Have a good weekend.
I also like the silhouette of the tree in the photos! Great SWF. I got a laugh out your Thursday 13. Down here we think it always snows in Alaska! Thanks for your comment on my SWF. I'll be checking back for your photos of the northern lights.
