Camera Critters

(Click on the photo to see more Camera Critters)

Look a this little girl. Two days ago I hear a whistling I'd never heard before in a tree by the pool. I never saw who was making it. Yesterday, this little girl showed up. She flew circles around and around me and the pool for hours (I was working on the rocks). She ran laps, too. I've never seen a bird such as this at my house. Very cool.

*Edited* I asked Abe at My Birds Blog what kind of bird I had. He led me here. She's a Spotted Sandpiper in non-breeding plummage. Cool!

You asked me what kind of bird this is. It is a "Spotted Sandpiper" in his or her winter plumage. If you go to

http://www.birds.cornell.edu/AllAboutBirds/BirdGuide/Spotted_Sandpiper.html

and there you can see it in its summer plumage and scroll down and you an see him in his winter plumage and you can also listen to the sound it makes.

A neat bird who actually does live in Ohio and lots of other places.
