There are seven of these beauties laying around the yard. (We had to lay them down as the wind was pretty bad last night). Lowes had apple and pear trees and I couldn't resist. Homer was there a few days ago and they were $39.95 each. I went last night and they were $19.95! I got two pear and five apple trees. We set them around the yard last night and now my job is to dig holes about 3'X3' (or bigger), fill with some good dirt and plant. I also need one more pear tree to fill a naked spot. Somehow I will do this while burning those darn Ice Puppy cd's and shopping for the concession stand (never mind the seven kids running around the house!). It guess tackle it Tuesday just needs to be done on Tuesday...so I have until midnight! :)

Gayle...wow, you have done a lot with your yard. Good deal on the fruit trees. Even tho it gets cold early, you have a long enough growing season to have the fruit?
We have never watered our garlic, and the only time Gary waters (with a watering can) is when he puts in new plants like tomatoes or peppers. Just a couple of times... The weather usually takes care of things.
I am so jealous! I would love to have all those trees...nice! Do you have a finished pond picture around here? I would love to see it. We inherited ours a year ago, so we are still learning.
