It was a beautiful sunny day so we set up a little sprinkler for some fun running....

It's chilly on Emily...

Big sister helping little sister be brave...

Little brother watches on....

Lukie goes for it...

and doesn't like it...

He takes the long way back!

Freshly mowed grass with those darn spots from dog pee...

22 hours of sunshine - you could be working on the garden all day on that. i noticed you have a lot of things to plant in the garden - is there anything that doesn't grow well with too much sun? (do you grow tomatoes or other mediteranean style veges in alaska?)
we have always wanted to visit Alaska. maybe one day! Sleep is kinda non-existant here right now but its getting better!
Thanks for you sweet notes!
My kids love seeing pictures of your place...they have such a hard time believing there could be a place where the sun never sets :-P lol..They were all excited until I told them about the trade-off in the winter.
You have a gorgeous back yard!!!
Makes me wanna come play too!
answering a question you left on my blog -
No, I don't work on Sanibel with the birds; that would be Snowbird. Herblog is Sand Between My Toes.

She volunteers at C.R.O.W. (Clinic for the Rehabilitation of Wildlife, on Sanibel Island).

If your bird is on Sanibel, I would call C.R.O.W. If not, I'd crack open the phone book and find your nearest wildlife rehab place and get some advice from them.
Poor bird! I'm going to post this on both your blog and mine, and also send it to you by email.

Gayle...we have literally hundreds and hundreds of daisys growing in and around the pastures....buttercups too. I would expect Alaska to be way behind. I'm amazed that your temperature hit 80. A few days ago we started eating our strawberries, and the spinach will be ready in a day or so. Thanks for all the nice comments.
