Sky Watch Friday

It was 28 degrees last night at my house. This morning there was frost on the truck. It's now 1:00pm and 70 degrees. Alaska never ceases to amaze me!

See more sky watchers!

Beautiful sky. Amazing difference in temperature on one day. We have changing weather, but nothing as spectacular as yours. Alaska always intrigues me. It sounds like a fascinating place. Karen

We had 47 this morning and I looked at all the roofs for frost but saw none. Now, this afternoon it is humid and 82. We are expecting tornadoes tonight.

I like your photos.

Gayle...thanks for the note. Many of the houses in our town (population around 16,000-8,000 in the village) are very old. Our house was built in 1863. We added a porch in the back and I sometimes teach my art classes there in the summertime. I still want to know how you found my Journal. Have a good night.

Gayle,

We have had rhubarb for over a month, and there is a ton of it. Actually, we need to get our acts together and start selling it off our farm wagon. Nothing else is ready in our garden...it is huge this year. We have 3000 garlic plants, over 350 onions plants, several hundred leeks, probably 75 tomato plants, and yesterday Gary planted 60 eggplants. Our spinach is starting to come up and we have more things to go in the ground. What is your growing season?
