The purpose is to share a trinket, piece of jewelry or a treasured collection from around your home. Today, I am sharing my wooden coin. It is the size of a half-dollar and on the other side reads TUIT (you know getting "a round to it"). This was given to me by the principal of South Pines Elementary in Spokane, Washington. I did my student teaching there in a 4-6 grade Resource Room. I've been packing this coin around for the last 18 years. My time with the wonderful teachers at South Pine is something I will never forget. Now and again, I get a small twinge of regret that I didn't accept the teaching position I was offered years ago. Shoot, I'd almost be to retirement! Then one of my five children does something to make me laugh and I realize that motherhood was a far more important job to have all these years. So for 16 years I've gotten "a round to it"....a round to mothering that is!
