PhotoHunt 130: Sad

This was the score from Elijah's game last Thursday. (Yes, it's the final score...the guy usually resets the clock before I get a chance to take a photo!). It's sad how lop-sided the different Middle Schools are. There are five Middle Schools in the league. Our team beats three of them with scores like this. (We do not run the score up...this is with the best players on the bench most of the game). There is only one school that gives us a good game. We only beat them by 5 points. It's sad for the opponent, but I guess it's happy for us that we can be on the winning team!

PhotoHunt: Strings

When I read this weeks theme was strings the first image to enter my mind was that of Elijah's shoes. He always has the most messed up shoe laces. Immediately upon buying new shoes he tears out the laces, puts them in a different way with two different colors. As his laces break he ties them with knots. He doesn't want new laces. This is his style. And these shoes...they are quite possibly some of the nastiest shoes I've ever seen. They are supposed to be in the trash, but I saw them on him feet today. Hmmmm.

At today's football game strings came to mind again. The string to hold up Elijah's football pants is big enough for a 300-lb. man. He's always got this string flying behind him.

When I got home I was looking through the photos and noticed one of our players made an awesome tackle with an untied string.

In an attempt to lower our $400 per month electric bill I am hanging the wash on the line and washing in cold water. I bet we see an immediate difference since we have about 25 loads per week. Reds, greens, pinks and blues...what colorful laundry! :) See more PhotoHunt participants at tnchick.
