Family

Even in death life truly is full of many beautiful things so today I share some of those.

These lovely ladies would be my Great-Nieces Jackie, Deja and Olivya. They are three of the most polite, fun, happy, mellow young ladies. I just can't get enough of them.  :) I can tell you, this Auntie would be more than happy to babysit these three every single day!

This little cutie is Zoey, another Great-Niece. I have been lovin' the baby snuggles.

My nieces and nephews....Misty (mom to the three girls), Karissa (wife to nephew Michael and due with a little girl in 6 weeks) and Michael. Also here are Steven and Brittany (parents to Zoey, but I missed getting their photos).

Since we all know if it is sunny I have to work in the yard as at home my sunny days are limited. Well, that urge followed me here so yesterday I cleaned up leaves and pine needles. Olivya wanted to be my little helper.

Last night Penny and Karissa messed around decorating a cake. Penny just started taking classes, but only attended one before Mom was hospitalized.

Bright and early this morning the paving crews arrived. My brother's home is in a Senior Citizen Mobile Home Park and normally it is so quiet you can hear a pin drop, but today they are getting new streets and driveways. These guys work fast and it looks fantastic. They'll be done tomorrow night and then Pepper (Penny's dapple dachshund and I can resume our daily walks).
I miss my kids terribly and I see in the news that we are having highs of 60 so the Fall has been extended. Maybe I'll be able to finish my projects after all? But I can say that I am right where I want to be. Family is a powerful positive.

I love your last line. Family IS a powerful positive. Gets us through much we'd rather not endure. I'm thinking of you.

Although it's a sad time, it's good that you can spend some time with your mom and the extended family. Family is a positive, no matter why or how you come to be with them.
