The Quick and The Tired

Posting quickly as I'm very tired....

Yesterday was so awesome.  Baked some cookies. All my kiddos under one roof. We had a great time.  Even some one-on-one with Elijah.  Those are the days I live for!

Look at those Geraniums grow! :)  You can read more about my gardening at My Alaskan Garden.  It's where I'm putting all the little details about my seed adventures.
Tonight I mixed up some chopped onions and garlic.
 Added chopped spinach.
Homemade bread crumbs with parsley and salt.
Put it all on the tops of tomato halves, drizzled with olive oil and baked.  Mmmmm!!
Dad's dinner...steak with sauteed onions and garlic, Butter Herb Pasta, Tomatoes and garlic bread with melted pepperjack cheese.  Too bad he only got a few bites.
Elijah called with a snow machine malfunction and needed picked up. I am so lucky to have such a wonderful husband.  The boys don't get blamed or in any kind of trouble if something breaks - those things happen - and he would never make them wait/be late/miss something just so he could eat.  Real parents make those sacrifices daily.  It's not just Homer and I...I know many of you do, too, but we all know many who don't. I just can't imagine putting myself before my children. There's plenty of time for that later in life.  Wait...I guess not.  I'll (hopefully) have grandchildren!

Anyhow, no one was hurt, well, except the machine.  Some sheared bolts or something or other rearing it inoperable. Bummer with all this fresh snow.  I guess Sunday will be repair-the-machine day.  Me, I'll be doing some more planting and spending time with My Girl Em.  Not sure what we'll do, but it'll be fun!

You sound great and your dinner is yummy looking! You must have sent some snow down here...we are really getting hit today.

Agree Gayle, life is just way to short to get worked up over most things!

Those Tomatoes look really good!

I'm glad no one was hurt in the snow machine mishap.

I know many parents who can't be bothered parenting. Guess where their kids hang out? The more the merrier, right?!

Since bread is "white food", I think I would substitute a little wild rice for the breadcrumbs and I would love, love, LOVE those tomatoes! Thanks for the idea :)

PS - can't wait to check out your gardening blog

Can't believe you're planting already. Homer's dinner looks delicious. I hope he got to eat it eventually.
