Project Flamingo

Corey at Living and Loving Every Minute started a kitty project that has been a lot of fun to follow. I decided to give it a try...get myself thinking...hence the birth of Project Flamingo.

Finding it odd I chose a flamingo? Well, I don't have a cute little wooden kitty like Corey does. In fact, I got so sick of looking for something to use I grabbed the closest thing: the flamingo sitting on my computer. It sort of fits. Many of my bloggy friends are from Florida, I bought it in Florida and I am about as far away from a Florida Flamingo as you can get and still be in the United States so I guess it makes things interesting without much effort on my part. (Score! I'm not sure I have time to give much effort!).

To get a jump into this adventure I am starting things off by following the alphabet (cause I'm lazy like than. And I wonder why the kids get it?).

So here we go....

January 1, 2010: A is for acquired. We acquired a wood stove for half price. Awesome!

January 2, 2010: B is for birthday. Elijah had his birthday party and cake didn't last long. His actually birthday is Dec. 28th. In fact, the pups Sally and Ruby had a birthday on the 27th that we forgot to celebrate.

January 3, 2010: C is for close. We all kept close to the fire at one point or another today. Sisters and puppies sharing a special closeness.

So there you have the beginnings of Project Flamingo. With a new letter each day my flamingo will share a bit of what we are doing forcing me into some creative photography. Or not. We'll see.

Fun idea! The flamingo should remind you of warmer places. Utah's Salt Lake had a pink flamingo named Floyd who wintered on the lake every year for about 12 years. He was the only flamingo and no one knew from whence he came. Just thought I'd throw that bit out for your entertainment...

What a cute idea! I love flamingos and posted a mosaic of them on Monday! I was trying to think of a "hook" for my photo of the day for 2010, I should have done something like that!
