Happy Anniversary, My Love

Happy 2nd Anniversary, My Love.

On this day two years ago I looked at you with a heart over-flowing with love.

I still feel that way today.

How can you not love a man who will work this hard in the pouring rain...

...to build you a beautiful garden to be married in?

There are so many things about this man that I love...things that drew me to him in the first place. The biggest of those being his love for children. When we met I could instantly see that he was an outstanding father. He is a rare man willing to give every bit of himself, his time, his heart, his support, his love to his children.....all eight of them.

Olivia and Lucas were very shy. They still are. The handful of people at our wedding overwhelmed them. When Papa walked me down the stairs I could see that he already had Lucas in his arms giving him comfort. It wasn't long before I was holding Olivia. Olivia and Lucas are our two children that tie our whole family into one. Bringing them right in to our vows was a perfect symbol of what our lives are all about.

My husband is a man who always has and always will put the children first so it didn't take long before he let them all go swim in the pond. It wasn't our wedding reception...it was a reception for our family. That means the kids should have the most fun, and I'm pretty sure they did!

This was in the card I got for my husband today:
To the
Wonderful Man
I Married
I love sharing life
and raising a family
with you...
Even though
it sometimes means
that our nights out
are actually spent
grocery shopping...
...and our romantic
dinner plans
turn out to be
bowls of macaroni
and cheese
in front of the TV...
Even though things
don't always turn out
exactly how we planned them,
I wouldn't want it
any other way.
I love our life together-
because I love you so much.
Happy Anniversary

I truly love this man with all my being. Even through the trials and disappointments that have plagued our family lately, he has still kept a positive attitude. His honesty and love are strong. He is still the great man I met almost six years ago. He is still the great man I married two years ago. Our love is strong and will continue to hold us up through the storms of life.

I've been so busy with the Grandkids this summer that I haven't been around to visit for a while. I'm glad I popped in tonight!

Happy Anniversary! Now I see why the beautiful flower garden means so much to you and why you put your heart into it. You are both blessed to have a loving spouse. I'm sure he is very happy he found you too! :-)
