Around The White House

I haven't blogged much this past week. While I really miss posting and reading my favorites, spring/summer is my time of year. I hate snow. I hate being cold. When it finally warms up I live outside. Since the daylight is lasting longer and longer each day that brings me in the house later and later. Last night, I was running the leaf blower at 11:00pm! This morning it is 36 degrees and spitting snow. That has dampened my spirits so I'm taking this time to share some photos from the past week.

Emily loves the mud. She led her brother and sister to it, but she was the one who ended up getting stuck!

As always, Olivia is my planting helper. I can't seem to get anyone else as excited about it as I am.

Olivia photographed me filing my nasturtium seeds. Okay , I'm actually using my dremel tool, but it's working! Unfortunately, it's a slow process when you have as many to do as I am doing.

Lucas is more than happy to be my helper when it involves using the 4-wheeler!

Roscoe likes to help (hinder) my progress on the yard.

Before a little raking and rock packing....
...then some dirt shovelling, and voila! I have another flower bed.
Dad, Nick, Wee People and I took a little drive on Saturday and stopped in a local greenhouse to see the flowers. Olivia and Lucas liked finding the lady bugs.

Olivia needed a bigger bike. She's so excited about it.
Off she goes!
Dad's been working so hard on my greenhouse, but there is always time for baseball. He really is a great dad.... his kids are lucky to have him.
Olivia and Lucas like to help Daddy, too.
Isn't it fun to play in the sand?

Nick gave Dad a hand with the first walls of the greenhouse.
Look at that! Some of the trusses are up! I can't wait to move into it!
Here's a closer look. Isn't it awesome?!

Spring has sprung. That is going to be quite a greenhouse. Glad to see that Homer is home!

The family that works together stays together. Your greenhouse is quite big. Do you plant a lot of veggies? I was outside all last week but this week it has done nothing but rain.
