After a morning of entertaining small people we went out to see all the new snow. (Compare the stairs and swing to the post below and you can see how much it has snowed just this morning.)

Not so easy for short little legs to walk through.

Between sledding runs Mom shovelled.

I shovelled out a big spot for my dear husband's truck
so he doesn't step out into deep snow.

I also shovelled out the Excursion.

After 1.5 hours outside the little legs were tired and my back was shot. The Wee People came in for hot chocolate. Mom deserved a glass of wine for all her hard work, but alas, there is no wine. I settled for a reheated cup of coffee! :)
As I was making this post the snow fall picked up quite a bit so I ran (crawled) back out and took a little video.

The slight snapping/crackling sound is the snow hitting me and the ground. Earlier it was big flakes falling, but now it is hard and almost hail like.

Gayle...this video stuff is getting fun! I've never seen live snow in Alaska.

I'm telling you, you should've went on a mini vacation, and came to Nebraska! I won't brag. I won't go on to tell you how it was 78 today, in MARCH! Because you see that would be bragging, I will tell you though that it's not supposed to last!

HUGS To your achin back! Take a nice long warm bubble bath, and try to forget the snow! :)

I am just not sure I could do that much snow all the time. My hat is off to you!

Hi Gayle,
We were lucky here in my part of PA during the last storm. It stayed East of us and only left a tiny bit of ground cover. Cold and windy though.

No darn wonder your back hurts! I think you should get a supply of wine stocked up for times just like this!!!

I read on Tink's blog about you losing some of your followers, so I checked to see if I was still there. I expected that I wouldn't be because during one of my recent 'hissy-fits', I deleted my blog. (The Circle of Five)

But... I started a new one and it was a surprise to see that I'm still listed among your followers, even though I changed my photo and other stuff!

Didn't mean to go on and on, just wanted you to know that, even though I've been slack on making comments, I'm still reading about your life in Alaska.

You certainly are amazing!

Barb (I'm the butterfly on the daisy on your followers list!) I hope you get a chance to visit.

Im tired of shoveling too! Our driveway is a mess...because we don't shovel! I did the sidewalk yesterday, and attempted the driveway....so much snow!
