Thursday Thirteen

13 Things My Husband and I Are Going To Do in 2009:

1. We are going to pick-up some used skis and start cross-country skiing together. Neither of us have been skiing in years (26 for me) and it sounds like a fun thing to do together. We have a 400-acre recreation parcel across the street from our house that people have trails all over. We might as well enjoy them, too.

2. We are going to fly to Vegas for the weekend. Three days with just the two of us going crazy is just what the doctor ordered.

3. We are going on a family vacation to the beach. We still haven't decided which beach, but it will be a warm one. I hope.

4. We are going to be alone for Valentine's Day and have a romantic evening. Well, kind of. The Wee People will be here, but they'll eventually go to bed.

5. We are going for a dog sled ride. Somehow in my 41 years of living in Alaska I haven't done that. Strange.

6. We are going to work together to finish our remodelling projects so we can just sit back and enjoy our home. A lot to do, but it will be awesome when it is done.

7. We are going to go some place (in Alaska) that we haven't been.

8. We are going to potty train our two-year old. Together. I mean, I need his help. If I can't potty train five of my six dogs, a two-year old is probably out of my league! (lol)

9. We are going to Kenai camping this summer.

10. Valdez is also on our list of places to go this summer or this fall when the silvers are running.

11. We are going to go moose hunting together.

12. We aren't going to Europe in 2009, but we are going to start talking/planning/dreaming about going. We want to wait until the Wee People are a couple years older before we leave them for a month.

13. In 2009 we are going to spend a lot more time hugging, kissing, laughing and loving. We've made it through some very stressful times, but they just made our marriage closer and stronger. Now we can just enjoy each other (and the kids, of course).
