Our Frosty World

Yesterday, the Wee People were off to Grandma Debbi's....

while my sweetie and I went to lunch at Brewster's.

Then I spent the day at home ALONE. What a treat. Later we took Nick to dinner at Boston's and then to a basketball game (our high school won by one point at the buzzer!). It was my fourth game in as many nights. So many photos to go through!

This morning it's cold. Again. Nick had basketball practice and I caught these shots on the way home. (used a little camera so the photos aren't so good).

A frosty view over Fairbanks.

My newspaper box should probably be cleaned off!

I love the arch this tree makes on the corner of the property.

Longing for Spring...

We are getting more snow...
Back to town (taken through the window while driving) to pick up Nick.
We made a swing through town...Nick needed some type of boxing glove for Fight Club. (If you've seen the movie then you know what I'm referring to). We passed this little Ice Chapel downtown. Apparently, some guy met a (much younger) woman on the Internet from Georgia (or some place like that). She decided to move here and marry him. She wanted to get married in a building of ice so he had this chapel built just for the wedding downtown in front of a hotel. Now the tourists use it to take photos in.

I love the way the snow piles up on the mailbox, the swings, everything!! But I don't really miss it, either!

The ice chapel is very cool. Up in Montana (Whitefish) they have a Winter Carnival every year with many snow and ice structures being built around town. It's a lot of fun.
