Elijah's 13th Birthday Party

Although his birthday was almost one month ago we waited to have his party now when his friends were back from Christmas vacation.

To start things off the boys boxed. I guess that's a guy thing so they can get their pecking order straightened out.

The sun was setting and cast a beautiful glow over the yard.

Elijah's dad, his girl Christina and my Emily stopped by with birthday wishes. Then there was a pool tournament while I made pizza.
...and, of course, Xbox!

Ultimately, it came down to Daniel (right) and myself. (Yes, I beat him, but it was a good game).

Then we were off to see the West Valley vs Lathrop basketball game.

After the game we had cake. We wrote on the cake with chocolate syrup (brilliant idea by Dad) and found a big candle. (Not-so-brilliant was that I wrote it upside down!) He's so embarrassed with us singing!

Aren't they cool?! :)

I made hamburgers and fries for the crowd while they started an air hockey tournament.

Dave and I shot a little pool...

...and more video games.

Dad worked his way through the losers bracket to get to the championship against Forrest (this is Tyler is the photo). Forrest proved too much to beat twice and was the champion and winner of $5!
Oh, can't forget the ping pong!

Olivia and Lucas had a blast making houses with the couch pillows!
Dad and I finally gave up at 2:00am. I have no idea how long those boys played video games, but I can tell you they were pretty slow moving this morning!

How fun! I'm totally envious of all the fun at your house despite the construction. Believe me when I say there is nowhere near that kind of fun going on here!

Great new couches! Love them...they kinda look like mine, except way newer and cleaner, and no white dog hair!

I sure wish I had all those games and the fun to go with it when I was a kid. :-) All of these memories will be priceless when they are grown.

with the temps and the darkness you guys have in the winter, it's a good dang thing you've got this wonderful game room to keep y'all occupied! Love that last pic of Olivia - she's such a smiley-puss! Does she ever stop smiling? :D
