Ruby Tuesday

The Teach at Work of the Poet suggested we have holidays the focus of our Ruby Tuesday this month so here's my story....

Snowbird (down in Florida) was joking that it didn't seem right putting up Christmas decorations in 80 degree weather. Well, there's nothing like a little -31 F to get you in the spirit! That's the weather in town this morning. Mr. White assures me that it must only be -10 to -15 at the house because we are in the hills. I can't confirm that. He still hasn't located a thermometer that goes lower than -20. I mentioned to him that I can't whine on my blog without facts to back me up (I mean, I shouldn't whine, but I do....) so he'll look around for one today.

For Ruby Tuesday I took this photo of Emily getting on the bus at 8:08am. The Ruby part was the red stop sign on the bus, the red number sign in the window and the red flashing lights. Well, you can't see any of the red, can you? It just looks dark and cold. The holiday part was going to be the lights hanging on the fence. See any? NO. Did I mentioned it's cold and dark? I haven't put them up yet, and I'm beginning to think they look pretty good in the box.

So in the spirit of Ruby Tuesday Holidays I went back through the photo disks....

This is Olivia 12 days old on her first Christmas in 2004.

Olivia's second Christmas in 2005.

Olivia's third Christmas in 2006 (same wrapping paper as the year before!).

Olivia's fourth Christmas last year in 2007.

Looking forward to Christmas 2008!
