Happy Birthday Olivia (and more)

Today, has been a bit of a bust. The idea was to get a lot done downstairs now that Mr. White is back home, but that doesn't seem to be the case. We were all a bit slow moving (from lack of sleep) this morning, and by the time we got moving it was time to go to Eielson.

Nick had his first junior varsity high school basketball at Eielson Air Force Base (60 mile round trip) against the Ravens. Here he's taking a shot. (He tried to get my high school #32, but there wasn't one so he took the next closest. Isn't that sweet?!)

This is such a big deal to me because my brothers, nieces, nephews and myself were ball players. None of our kids really have been so to have a high school player is so cool!
Final score: We won! :)

Here was the temperature at the school...

Today, is Olivia's Happy 4th Birthday. Her party has been postponed until next Sunday. With Mr. White gone all week it was more than I had the energy to put together. We let her open her present from Granma Claudia and Papa Doug.

Granma made Olivia and her new baby doll matching ponchos and scarves.
She thought that was pretty cool.

So there you have it. That's all we accomplished today! Pathetic. Elijah's riding his BMX bike at Joel's Place with his friend Nelson, and Dad is about to pick the boys up from Birch Hill where they got in a half-day of snowboarding after the game. I'm on my butt on the computer, and the Wee People are writing Christmas cards and plastering them with stickers. I guess it is good to do nothing once-in-awhile, but I REALLY want my house done! Ah, there is always tomorrow. I hear my Netflix movies calling me! :)

Happy Birthday Olivia. She is just a year and a week older than my twin grandsons. They turn 3 on the 20th.

Did you play basketball in HS? I did. Of course, when I played (many centuries ago)girls were only allowed to play half court!! Now my 11 year old granddaughter plays and is up and down the court with no problem.

I'm not even going to comment on the -5 degree temps!! I thought 49 yesterday morning was bad. I guess it's all relative, huh?

Happy Birthday Olivia! Hope you had a happy day.

Gayle....after all that you accomplished last week, I'm sure it was hard to break your rhythm on the downstairs project. That would be the best Christmas present of all for the whole family. It will happen.

Did the gas prices go down up there? It is $1.90 per gallon in Brockport.

Thats so sweet that Nick tried to get your old #..sometimes they can do things that just make you go "awwwwwwww" ...of course whatever it is is usually followed by them doing something that makes you want to rip your hair out...at least thats how it is in my house :-P

She looks so happy in that picture opening her gift.

Congrats to Nick on the basketball game. Awesome! Let me know when he comes to North Pole to play.

I love her true gratitude for her gift. :) fabulous. My mom used to make matching outfits for me and my dolls. I loved it.
So far Sugar isn't too interested in her dolls. If she takes a turn towards them, I most certainly will be making them matching outfits.
Have a good day!
