Chatanika Christmas Party

Saturday afternoon we drove 30+ miles out to Chatanika Lodge for their annual Christmas party. The girls are patiently waiting for Santa.

Nick spent the evening kicking butt at pool!

There is a window in the game room that looks into this room where the owners old car and a Harley are stored.

Absolutely every inch of the place is covered in lights and decorations!

We were checking out the turtles and took a seat on the couch.

The girls gave Santa's chair a try before he showed up.

Quite a bit of the ceiling and walls are covered in dollar bills!

Rudolph arrives with Mr. and Mrs. Claus.

The snowmachine and sleigh.

The children are so excited!

I think it must have been 90 degrees in there. The kids patiently wait for their turn on Santa's lap. We were family #20. Twelve years ago when Nick was three we were family #109. There are a lot of kids at this party! (And the owners do it at their own expense...every child gets a gift!)

Best moment of the night...out of the blue Lucas got up, crawled over a bunch of kids and hugged Rudolph. Very out of character for him.

Not so pleased with Santa.

Now it's Olivia's turn to cry.

Lucas ran away, but then decided to go back for his gift!

Quite possibly the happiest little girl around!

Emily got perfume and rings.

The kids took a seat on the sleigh before we left. (I forgot to hold my breath!)

You guys always go to this, it must be really great. The kids look like they had a blast. I remember doing stuff like that when I was a kid, and my dad was in the Air Force. Always parties for the kids with Santa! Oh and all the kids look great, but Emily looks so beautiful in her dress!

it sure looks like a fun party. Maybe a bit too much for me....as I am crowd phobic these days, but it looks like your crew had fun...minus the santa fear. :)
