I stepped outside to see how cool it was, and saw that one of my ducks had gotten loose and was in the pool. Upon closer inspection it was a wild duck. First time we've had one land (that I've seen). Didn't take much to spook her into flight.
I imagine your pool is very inviting...do your own ducks have a kiddy pool? Got your postcard. Thanks. Really appreciate it. And I caught the comment about painting the new digs for your sheep...I'm sure she will appreciate it. I'd love to see all your animals. Are all the puppies with their new owners now? Lori
I love ducks! The closest they've landed here is across the road at the farm pond. It was nice hearing them quack back and forth with my ducks in the afternoon :-) I can't believe how many leaves you've lost already! I guess it's just odd to me because most of the people I know live south of me..and we usually change way before they do..so its weird with the shoe on the other foot. How's Daisy's paint job going? I've got my hubby busy building (in all his spare time..ha ha. ) seems because of the rain and lack of hay this year many sheep farmers are downsizing..and getting rid of really good stock for super cheap prices. I keep sending him the ads..he keeps looking at me and sighing..:-P

oh wow - your leaves are falling! This will be my third autumn away from New York. I haven't seen falling leaves in three years! =8^0
Wasn't there an episode of The Sopranos where ducks took up residence in Tony's pool? :D
