The drive to Debbi's

Friday night I took the Wee People and Emily to Debbi's house so Mr. White and I could go to dinner. I'm trying to get better about taking a camera with me so here are some shots from the five mile drive down to her house.

View from Isberg Road.

The Tanana River taken from Chena Ridge Road.

A float plane that just took off from the float pond at Debbi's.

Tanana upriver.

Tanana downriver with a boat full of moose hunters heading out.

The mighty Tanana River.

The Tanana is a very brown and silty river.

This sign is at the entrance of Debbi's subdivision.

Mr. White and I ate dinner at Gallo's Mexican Restaurant. Then we went to Big Daddy's BBQ for an adult beverage. (Forgot to take photos at both). We took a short walk along the river. Look at the size of this flower outside one of the hotels. He does not always have this dorky grin. He felt a little silly posing by a flower with tourists everywhere watching and thinking we were one of them, but I really wanted everyone to have something to compare the flower to.

This is Cushman Street Bridge and downtown Fairbanks. There used to be flags from every state, but now it alternates the American flag and the Alaskan flag across the bridge.
